The Cacao Project

A collaboration with artist Erika Harrsch to create the robotic elements of her next art installation surrounding the history and importance of cacao in culture. It includes three interactive subprojects:

• Cacao Goddess – a Roomba-like robot that moves cacao seeds across the floor in predetermined patterns.
• Cacao Tribute Exchange – an interactive electronic sculpture that represents the cacao seed’s use as currency.
• Theobroma Flower – an interactive flower sculpture that controls lights and diffuses a fragrance.
